The Kiss of Death: Isiah Likes Gallinari
Just when Knicks fans across the globe were exorcising their demons, visions of run-and-gun dancing in their heads, it appears as though the spectre of Isiah Thomas is still very much haunting Madison Square Garden.

'Why not pick an overhyped Italian with conditioning issues, Donnie?'
The NY Daily Times is reporting that Isiah was the culprit behind the Knicks woeful selection at #6 in the recently completed NBA Draft.
Isiah Thomas, who has been scouting European players since being fired as coach, provided Walsh with a good report on Gallinari, who played last season for Armani Jeans of Milan.
“He told me, ‘This kid won’t back down,’” Walsh said.
Okay, I hate to rag on the Daily Times, as upstanding a publication as it is, but this cliché driven sentence is hardly a “good report”.
Taking draft tips from Isiah is about as smart an idea as taking stock tips from the guy who lives on your street corner selling chestnuts from a flaming garbage can. Just take his chestnuts, and ignore anything he says about subprime — it’s sure to be flawed intelligence.
Beer me.
